Konbini Ossan Volume 10 Chapter 19 — Naito’s Strength
Facing Kanehama, who had readied his sword, Naitō spoke with a taunting tone.
“You look pretty confident, Kanehama.”
“Of course I am. I’ve fought my way through everything as a Hero. Someone like you, who’s only controlled and used others, isn’t even worth calling an opponent.”
“I’ll teach you just how arrogant that is.”
The moment he said that, Naitō released an amount of magical power far beyond what he had been letting leak until now.
It was on par with, or even greater than, that of Kanehama, the Hero.
Wrapping himself in an enormous amount of battle-aura-attributed magic, Naitō charged straight at Kanehama.
“Kanehama!”
“Wha-!?”
At a speed neither Kanehama nor I had anticipated, Naitō closed the distance and swung his fist down.
Kanehama instinctively raised his sword to block.
However, while Kanehama himself endured, the ground beneath him could not.
The instant their attacks collided, the sheer force shattered the floor beneath his feet.
Kanehama was blown away, crashing through the floor and into the lower levels of the castle.
“What’s wrong, Kanehama!? The Hero’s supposed to be stronger than that, right!?”
Naitō shouted, provoking him.
Then, in the next moment, an immense surge of magic burst forth from below.
Kanehama had likely activated his Hero skills and was now fighting at full power.
At the same time, a shockwave rose from below. A mass of magical energy, following the arc of a single sword slash, surged upward toward Naitō.
“Hah!”
As if he had been waiting for this, Naitō grinned with delight and caught the incoming slash with his bare fist, deflecting it.
The redirected slash tore diagonally through the castle, centered on the throne room.
With a roaring sound, the severed structure slid and collapsed.
Amidst the destruction, Kanehama leapt back up from below, returning to the throne room.
He was now enveloped in all of his attributes: light, fire, healing, and battle aura. This was likely his full power.
Though there was no wind, his hair fluttered, glowing with light.
Seeing Kanehama glare at him, Naitō smiled broadly.
“Hahahaha! That’s it! This is perfect, Kanehama!”
“Naitō! What is that power!?”
Faced with Naitō’s overwhelming strength, Kanehama demanded an explanation. Gaining power on par with a Hero through normal means was impossible.
Even before going all out, Naitō had already rivaled Kanehama’s SSSS-level stats. It was nothing short of abnormal.
“Don’t you know? Skills evolve! Mine evolved from «Brainwashing/ Conditioning» into «Absolute Domination»! Thanks to that, I’ve gotten strong… after all, I can take all the experience, skills, everything that the people I control obtain!”
“What!?”
What Naitō was saying meant…
Not just from the Barometz Duchy, but also from the Adelthand Kingdom, the Sadalkhan Kingdom, and even the people he had controlled back when he was in the Runegard Kingdom…
“With the experience and skills I’ve gathered from hundreds of thousands of people, I’ve gained this power! Take a good look, Kanehama!”
With that, Naitō displayed his status board, enlarging it so we could clearly see.
At those numbers, both Kanehama and I instinctively held our breath.

“Now do you get it, Kanehama!? Come at me with everything you’ve got and try to kill me! I’m strong as hell!”
True to his words, Naitō was without a doubt the most powerful opponent we had ever faced.
“Even so… I can’t afford to lose!”
Seeing Naitō’s status, Kanehama drew out even more magic, strengthening himself further.
From here on, the real battle begins.
