Soul Devourer Chapter 4 Episode 29 — A Potion That Grants a Single Miracle
The moment I defeated the sovereign who ruled the great ocean, the Water Dragon, the raging sea returned to calm as if nothing had ever happened.
The massive waves the Gargouilles had stirred should have swallowed both the small island and the ship that carried me here.
And yet now, everything had been restored as though it had never occurred.
The Water Dragon’s enormous body floated upon the blood-stained sea, breaking apart into faint particles of light that drifted skyward.
The instant it completely dispersed, a luxurious treasure chest appeared before me.
“Well then…”
I immediately placed my hand on the lid. With a creaking sound, it opened.
Inside lay the Water Dragon’s magic stone, azure dragon scales, a small vial of blood and, one item whose “crystal-clear blue” presence stood out from the rest.
I reached out. Inside the small vial was a transparent blue liquid.
I activated【Appraisal】at once.

However, it could not be used twice on the same person.
In other words, a medicine that grants the miracle of life only once. The timing of its use would have to be chosen with utmost care.
After storing the spoils in《Magic Pouch》, I was about to use the return magic circle, when a thought struck me.
“This ship… it won’t just go back on its own, will it?”
If it belonged to someone, keeping it would be wrong. In the end, I abandoned the magic circle and boarded the ship instead.
As expected, Gargouilles attacked on the return journey as well.
But they were never difficult opponents to begin with. Just like before, I swept them aside and returned to the original sandy shore.
I restored the ship to its original position and passed through the dungeon entrance.
My vision shifted instantly. A warm breeze from outside brushed my cheek. Crossing the deserted plaza, I headed toward the spot where Jin had dropped me off.
There, a support staff member stood waiting, dressed sharply in a black suit.
“Sorry to keep you waiting. You’re the replacement?”
When I called out, the man gave a slight bow.
“Yes. My name is Yong. I’ll be serving as a temporary substitute. I look forward to working with you.”
“Likewise.”
As I returned the greeting, I checked his status with【Discernment】.
…Not quite on Jin’s level, but he’d rank among the upper tier of A-rank.
“First, could you handle the material sale procedures?”
“Leave it to me.”
I followed Yong to the guild’s branch office. As I watched his exchange with the staff member, the purchase amount was finalized.
“Matsubara Hunter, the total purchase price is 160 million yuan, approximately 3.4 billion yen.”
“Understood. Thank you.”
As expected of dragon materials. With so many convertible resources, it was incomparable to previous S-rank dungeons.
“By the way, I’ve heard from Jin that you’re currently touring S-rank dungeons.”
“Yes.”
“I can take you directly to the final S-rank dungeon. However, it’s nearly lunchtime. Would you like to take a meal break?”
The reminder stirred my hunger, and my stomach let out a small growl.
“Yes. Let’s eat first.”
“Very well. Is there anything in particular you’d like?”

After a moment’s consideration, I told him what I wanted. Yong smiled and nodded.
I climbed into the back seat of the car.
The engine started, and the fourth S-rank dungeon receded into the distance.

And , I'm speculating either〈Kowloon〉will ambush Yuito the moment he reaches the fifth S-Rank Dungeon. But, if Chairman “Farlie” is as stupid as we have seen so far, he would wait till he finishes conquering the the last one 🤣.
