As the ship quietly cut through the waves, something emerged to block my path.
The sea surface bubbled, and an azure shadow rose. A long, supple neck. Azure scales gleaming as they reflected the light.
Dark eyes like the deep sea… it was Gargouille.
Raising its head toward the sky, Gargouille roared, then invoked【Water Magic】to generate a massive water spear.
Spinning in a spiral, the spear accelerated further through【Riptide】.
But I also possessed【Water Magic】and【Riptide】. Mirroring Gargouille, I created an identical water spear.
The two spears were launched almost simultaneously and collided midair, sending shockwaves rippling across the sea.
In the next instant, Gargouille’s spear shattered, and mine pressed forward.
Gargouille swiftly dove into the sea, evading my attack. Its long neck surfaced from the opposite side, glaring sharply at me.

If left unchecked, the ship’s hull would be destroyed. I consumed more magic power than usual and invoked【Water Magic】to generate matching spears.
With a thunderous roar, the attacks clashed, and the result was one-sided.
Due to the difference in Intelligence, only Gargouille’s spears shattered. Mine surged straight toward it.
Gargouille once again dove to escape, then surfaced, arching its neck back as though gazing at the heavens.

Gargouille vanished from sight, and behind it, a colossal tidal wave rose as if to blot out the sky.
It sought to swallow the ship, and me, whole.
I kicked off the deck and leapt, reaching toward the crest of the towering wave-

From the point of contact, the tidal wave froze in an instant. Using the now-silver ice wall as footing, I landed back on the deck.
But there was no time to relax. The ship suddenly began to move erratically, drawing a large circle as it spiraled out of control.
Gargouille possessed two skills I had not yet acquired. One was【Overfall】, which had generated the massive surge moments ago.
The other was【Whirlpool】, which had created a great whirlpool to render the ship uncontrollable.

The black thunderbolt spear shot forth like a meteor streaking across the night sky, piercing straight through Gargouille’s forehead.
