Konbini Ossan Volume 8 Chapter 16 — Valkyrie of Flames
Their opening move was a full-powered strike from both sides.
A head-on collision.
“Haaahhh!”
“As if I’d lose!”
Satira swings her dark gauntlets, while Joan brings down her crimson magic greatsword, the two attacks crashing into one another.
In the end, the one who won in sheer power was Joan. The difference in force sends only Satira flying backward.
“Damn it!”
“I’ll finish this in one go!”
Joan presses forward.
Raising her crimson magic greatsword, she channels her mana into it.
The blade begins to glow red, and at the same time, conjures magical flames that wrap around it.
“This is my power!”
With that declaration, she swings the flame-clad greatsword in a sweeping horizontal slash.
Wary of its might, even Satira does not attempt to block it directly with her gauntlets. Instead, she first creates a wall of dark magical power to intercept the attack.
However, Joan proves to be one step ahead.
The force of her strike shatters the dark wall effortlessly and blows away Satira, who had braced herself defensively.
“Guaaah! T-This can’t be!”
The power exceeds even what she had anticipated, and Satira cannot hide her shock.
And rightly so. Joan’s abilities have grown to the point where she can now overwhelm even summoned heroes.

And «Point Break» grants both a special effectiveness against defensive magic and skills, as well as a massive boost in attack power.
All of these are the fruits of Joan’s training.
Her determination to become strong enough to stand proudly as my wife has borne remarkable results.
Among the employees of Otogi Trading’s security division, Joan is sometimes referred to as the “Valkyrie of Flames”.
That is how difficult and extraordinary her achievements have been: tremendous growth, the later acquisition of an attribute, and the mastery of new skills.

With resolve in her eyes, Satira steadies herself.
“With the ultimate technique at my maximum output, «Chaos Impact», I will meet you head-on!”
“Bring it on! I’ll shatter your strongest attack and seize victory!”
Answering Satira’s challenge, Joan also readies her greatsword. The magical power infused into the blade begins to swirl around it like a vortex.
In contrast, Satira generates light and dark magical power several times greater than before and forcefully compresses them together in one place.
At last, as if by mutual understanding, both sides unleash their attacks at the same time.
“Take this!”
“I’ll face it head-on!”
Satira’s magic hurtles toward Joan.
Stepping forward to meet it, Joan swings her greatsword down toward the oncoming spell.
The two attacks collide, crackling with sharp bursts of magical energy, locked in a tense stalemate.
Even so, Joan is at a disadvantage.
Satira is attacking from a distance with magic, while Joan is delivering a direct strike with her greatsword. She is taking the shockwaves from the clash head-on with her own body.
“Tch… Even so, I will win!”
Though battered by the force, Joan continues to advance, one step at a time, greatsword still held firm.
“I-Impossible!”
Satira’s eyes widen in disbelief. Yet the reality is clear: Joan is deflecting the magic and pushing forward.
“In my dictionary, there’s no such word as ‘give up’!”
At last, Joan’s greatsword comes crashing down in a decisive arc.
She overcame Satira’s magic.
