Two Flame Wyverns rushed in from the left and right, sortieing just above the ground and unleashing their flame breaths.

The two torrents of fire collided in the middle, erupting into a massive pillar of flame. I had leapt back just in time, avoiding burns.

Both wyverns climbed back into the sky, conjured countless fireballs around themselves, and rained them all toward me at once.

I dashed forward through the storm of blazing projectiles, weaving through them at high speed and deflecting what I couldn’t avoid with my short swords.

Once I reached the space directly beneath the pair, I planted a hand on the ground.

Using the terrain itself, I summoned a stone column that surged upward. I launched off the resultant platform and vanished with【Stealth】.

This time was different.

After defeating that first wyvern, both concealment skills leveled up. These two couldn’t sense me at all.

A whole flock of Flame Wyverns was still circling in the distance.

Culling their numbers was important to prevent a stampede, but too much killing made selling the materials inconvenient.

I had the Magic Pouch, so spoilage wasn’t a concern, yet there was no reason to waste its space either.

There was still a boss fight ahead, so I planned to avoid overhunting along the way—
