Soul Devourer Chapter 1 Episode 14 — I’ll Kill You!
“Alright, time to reset my mood.”
I decided to leave that previous dungeon for another day.
If those guys hadn’t gotten in the way, I could have been rejoicing or despairing over the treasure chest’s contents… damn it, it really pisses me off.
Well, nothing is worth more than my life, so as a change of pace I came to another C-rank dungeon.
“Gugya!”
“Gyagya!”
The monsters that appeared were Goblin Magicians wielding staves, and Goblin Knights armed with longswords and round shields.
As soon as I closed in, the Goblin Magician aimed its staff at me, firing a flame arrow.
But its speed wasn’t all that fast, so I twisted my torso and dodged sideways.
Then, as the Goblin Knight raised its longsword, I activated【Stealth】, vanished, circled behind the Goblin Magician, and sliced off its head.

Enraged at the death of its comrade, the Goblin Knight swung its longsword in a wide arc.
I easily caught the blow, counter-slashed, but it was blocked by the round shield.

Stopped by a loud voice, I turned slowly to face them.
“What is it?”
“You’re alone? Where are your companions?”
“….”
The same question as those other guys. Not understanding the intent behind it, I couldn’t help but fall silent.
“Didn’t you hear me?”
“…Why are you asking that?”
“I’m the one asking the questions here… The fact that you’re so on guard means you’re solo, aren’t you?”
“….”
“Silent again, huh? Well, fine. That just makes you all the better prey for us.”
Damn it! Another PK party! To run into them twice in one day… what rotten luck!
Now then, what should I do…
Running would be easy, but that would just be repeating the same thing.
To give up on the boss and the treasure chest twice in one day — no way I could stand for that.
But the difference in strength was clear, and I wasn’t strong enough to incapacitate them without killing.
