Clouded skies covered the heavens, and violent winds raged.
Wild Hunter, Gryfa looked down from above, while I stood upon the earth, our gazes exchanged in silence.
Gryfa did not move at all. It fixed its stare solely upon me. Instead, its subordinate Griffons made the first move.
Through【Wind Magic】, sharp blades of wind were generated one after another and launched toward me. With slicing gusts, countless wind blades came flying in.

The Griffons showed no sign of agitation. They had already shifted to their next attack.

I spun my body and swung my dagger, dispersing the gale by sheer force, but the Griffons were already closing in from three directions; front, rear, and above.
Without panic, I used【Warp】to evade the three-pronged assault.
Then I invoked【Fire Magic】, creating towering pillars of flame. On top of that, I enhanced them with【Azure Inferno】.
The three Griffons were swallowed by the azure pillars and vanished in an instant.
I turned my eyes to the remaining seven.
“【Cast Priming】• «Sun Fall» •【Azure Inferno】•【Parallel Casting】• «Fire Storm»”
As I murmured those words, a massive azure sun ignited above the seven Griffons.
At the same time, a blazing tempest born from the fusion of【Fire Magic】and【Wind Magic】, a【Composite Magic】,surrounded them, sealing off any escape.
The standby time of【Cast Priming】expired, and the blazing azure sun began to descend.
The Griffons attempted to extinguish it with【Wind Magic】and desperately searched for a way out, but there was none.
Engulfed by the blue sun’s flames, the Griffons were reduced to ashes.

As I pondered the source of its confidence, Gryfa finally moved.
It soared in a wide arc, then plunged down close to the ground. Sliding forward while splitting the storm apart, it rushed toward me.
At first glance, it seemed like nothing more than an ordinary charge. In that case, I raised my dagger.
But the instant before impact, I felt as though invisible walls had enclosed me. I could not move.
“…! What is this!?”
Helpless, I was struck by Gryfa’s sharp beak and was hurled violently into the rocky ground behind me.
From within the swirling dust, I brushed off my arm and stepped forward, expectedly unharmed.
Gryfa’s eyes sharpened at the sight.
“That might’ve been the first time I’ve been blown away like that. Still, thanks to my absurdly high stats and quality armor, I took no damage…”
That phenomenon earlier was likely due to【Wind Dominion】.
Gryfa possessed two skills I had yet to acquire, one of them being【Wind Dominion】.
It seemed similar to the Sand King, the Pharaoh, from the previous S-Rank dungeon.
Judging from the name, it must allow control over wind currents. By manipulating the wind around me, it had stolen my freedom.
Gryfa once again drew a wide circle in the air and dove, skimming along the ground for another charge.

Realizing its speed had dropped, Gryfa abruptly altered course in front of me and escaped skyward.
Immediately after, I used【Earth Magic】• «Land Wall», to create an earthen wall overhead.
I sensed the surge of mana above via【Mana Detection】, and had already shifted into a defensive stance.
Crackle!
A thunderous roar erupted beyond the wall. Gryfa had used【Lightning Magic】.
Moreover, it possessed the skill【Thunder Eclipse】. If used together, the power would surpass ordinary【Lightning Magic】.
If that had struck directly… I likely wouldn’t have died, but it would have been extremely dangerous.
With two of its proud attacks blocked in succession, faint agitation flickered in Gryfa’s demeanor.
“Now’s my chance! «Moumoku • Blindness»”
I invoked【Debuff Magic】, plunging Gryfa into blindness.

As it attempted to scour the battlefield thoroughly, suddenly, it felt something cold pass through its body.
Gryfa could not comprehend what had happened.

Anyway, few things to note and so prepare yourselves for a little yap!
The spells like «Gensoku • Slow» and «Moumoku • Blindness», in them;
The first part is English-ified Japanese, that is, you can say, the foundation of the spell and the second part, is the actual English word (aka Katakana-ized) for the spell.
This type of incantation writing is common with English Light Novel Translators and Editors! So, try not to get confused. Second part is basically the literal/indirect meaning of first part! Got it?
As for why we only see this structure with certain spells, like the spells under Debuff Magic-system? No clue, it's the author's choice and way of writing. I couldn't possibly know…
Also, the skills with "Dominion" in name are literally skills that relays control over the element, e.g. Sand or Wind. They are different from【Azure Inferno】or【Riptide】or【Thunder Eclipse】which basically enhance the elemental spells. Completely different branches!
