Konbini Ossan Volume 9 Chapter 7 — The True Essence of Super Acceleration
Govagova raises his club and faces Yairo.
“Come anytime!”
“Yes. I can go anytime.”
In the next moment, the battle begins.
The first to move is Yairo. She must have used the skill «Super Acceleration», because her figure vanishes in an instant.
Even with my own status, I can barely keep up with her movements with my eyes, so to Govagova it must truly look as though she disappeared.
“W-Where did you go!?”
Govagova panics. Meanwhile, Yairo has already moved behind him, into his blind spot.
“Over here.”
“What!?”
Hearing Yairo’s voice from behind, Govagova hurriedly swings his club as he turns around.
But it seems Yairo had already predicted his movement. She easily evades the club, grabs Govagova’s arm, and uses his momentum to perform a throwing motion.
And what happens next?
Strangely enough, Govagova’s body flies away at an unbelievable speed, disappearing into the forest.
“Guaaaaaaah!”
Only after knocking down several trees does Govagova finally come to a stop.
“W-What just happened?”
“I moved behind you and threw you. That’s all.”
“Guh! This ain't ending like this!”
Although he has taken some damage, Govagova proves to be quite tough. He stands up and quickly charges at Yairo again.
However, before anyone realizes it, Yairo has vanished once more. She moves using «Super Acceleration», relocating to positions outside the opponent’s awareness.
The technique Yairo perfected during her stalking days is being demonstrated to its fullest here.
“Damn! Where are you!? Where are you!?”
Govagova looks around frantically searching for her, but every time he moves, Yairo shifts her position and slips into another blind spot.
After thoroughly confusing him, Yairo suddenly appears directly in front of him.
“Over here!”
“Ngh!?”
Caught completely off guard by her sudden appearance in front of him, Govagova reflexively swings his club downward again.
Yairo evades the strike once more and grabs the weapon. This time she entangles his movement, disarms him, and twists Govagova’s arm.
Compared to him, Yairo is clearly physically weaker. Yet despite that, she slams him into the ground with tremendous force and holds his arm locked while declaring:
“Will you continue? I could easily break your arm like this.”
“Guh… You win.”
Though clearly frustrated, Govagova honestly admits Yairo’s victory.
Once Yairo releases him, she happily runs over toward me.
“I won, Master!”
“Congratulations, Yairo-san.”
As I say that, I praise her while patting her on the head.
“Fwah~ M-Master.”
“By the way, Yairo-san. When you threw Govagova-san earlier, you sent him flying with incredible force. What kind of technique was that?”
I ask about something that puzzled me. As far as I know, Yairo’s status is heavily specialized in speed.
Therefore, she shouldn’t normally be able to generate the strength needed to launch someone like Govagova that far.
Yairo answers my question quite casually.
“The throwing and disarming techniques themselves are ECQC, a zero-distance combat method I learned back in Japan while watching over you from the shadows, Master.

But the reason he flew so far was actually the skill «Super Acceleration». Recently I realized that this skill can be applied to others besides myself.”

Yairo explains this with a cheerful smile.
I see. By accelerating the momentum at the moment she throws her opponent using «Super Acceleration», it creates the effect of hurling them away with monstrous strength.
However, there is something even more concerning.
“Yairo-san? What do you mean by learning ECQC?”
“Huh? I learned it normally so I could protect you, Master. In case some strange person attacked you… or if some weird bug started clinging to you…
…
I wanted to be ready to step in and help at any time. I even completed the master-level training!”
She says it energetically, as if it were perfectly normal.
But when I think about the fact that a high school girl who had mastered zero-distance combat had been watching over me from the shadows… it sends more than a slight chill down my spine.
If Yairo had ever gotten strange ideas and attacked me back then, the thought alone is terrifying.
“As expected of you, Yairo-san. As always (you are crazy).”
“Yes! Thank you, Master!”
I hide the fear growing in my chest by patting Yairo on the head.
