Konbini Ossan Volume 9 Chapter 3 — The Naitou Group, Uprising
The Naitō Group refers to a faction led by Naitō Takashi, one of the summoned Heroes’ classmates who possesses the skill «Mind Domination».
They had apparently been making suspicious moves for some time, but now they had finally acted, of all times, at this very moment.
“I see. What exactly have they done?”
“Yes. Naitō managed to slip past our surveillance and leave the Runegard Kingdom, heading for the surrounding nations. As expected, he used his skill to infiltrate the governments of those countries and has continued making suspicious moves.

For now, it seems they can only manage intimidation tactics such as dispatching knight orders to the borders. But the Runegard Kingdom has entered a state of alert, believing it highly likely that they will eventually launch an actual armed uprising.”
It seems the situation is even more serious than I had imagined.
“In that case, the reason Shuri-kun isn’t here today is…?”
“Yes. And once this meeting ends, we’ve also been asked to head immediately to defend the borders.

Personally, I want to rescue the classmates who were brainwashed by Naitō and taken away. So I’m really sorry, but-!”
As Kanehama begins to apologize again, I raise my hand to stop him.

That means our planned forces will fall slightly short.

With that declaration, I move on to the concrete details.
“Now then. Next is the specific composition of the suppression force.”
First, I announce the executive-level personnel who will participate in the suppression force.
I will, of course, be going. From among my wives, I will take Yairo and Joan with me. Marceline will remain at Otogi Trading Company and assist in operations together with the wives staying behind.
For the sake of ensuring their safety, it is definitely better to have at least one capable fighter remain here.
Arisa’s stats are quite high, but she has almost no real combat experience. If actual battle occurs, she would be the one being protected.
Other forces accompanying us will be Tiana and Tio. The summoned Heroes expressed a preference to focus on dealing with the Naitō Group, so they will not be joining the suppression effort this time.
That means the forces we will actually bring are considerably fewer than originally planned.
It seems this will be a moment where I, as our strongest asset, must carry the weight.

Her confidence lacks any clear basis, but that kind of brightness is one of Joan’s charms. The tension that had been building inside me loosens slightly.

As if competing with Joan, Yairo raises her voice. She only just became my wife a few days ago after submitting the paperwork, and she probably feels like she has fallen behind.
“Yairo-san. Doing your best is good, but the most important thing is yourself. Promise me you’ll return safely without getting hurt.”
“Fwah~ Y-Yes! I und-undershtand~! Just as you say, Master!”
It seems Yairo isn’t used to being treated kindly by me. Whenever I say something considerate like that, she practically panics.
Her reactions are so much like those of an ordinary girl that recently I’ve begun to forget she was once an extremely hardcore stalker.
“Yuichi-sama. Please take good care of Tiana and Tio.”
“Yes, of course. I promise they will return safely.”
Since Tiana and Tio are not present, Maria, as both their mother and my wife, bows in their place.
They are already my children as well, so protecting them is only natural. I answer Maria without the slightest hesitation.
And with that, the meeting ends, and we begin preparations to move out to suppress the rebel army.
