A hunter superpower alongside America and Russia.
In a room within the massive Hunter Guild Headquarters building constructed in its capital, Beijing, the chairman and his secretary were speaking.
“Chairman Li Wei. We’ve just received contact from the Japanese Hunter Guild.”
“What was the message?”
“It seems that the S-rank hunter, Yuito Matsubara, wishes to visit our country. Most likely, it is to conquer our dungeons.”
“The reason a hunter visits another country would be obvious… or so I would like to say. But this time, that is not his only objective.”
“You’re referring to the previous assault.”
“Yes. After hearing from their guild master, he must already know that our country was behind the attack… Is he coming alone?”
“That appears to be the case.”
“Hm… I don’t understand his purpose. Knowing we are a hunter superpower, and an enemy nation… would he really come alone?”
“There is no information that Yuito Matsubara has formed a party. It seems he is still acting solo.

“To determine his purpose, we need someone to monitor him.”
“Then shall we request〈Kowloon 〉or one of our subordinate clans?”
“No, there is no need to commit our main forces. Besides, in the previous assault, three subordinate clan masters were killed by that man alone. We should avoid unnecessary losses.”
“You mean… the underworld, then?”
“That would be preferable. Even if he takes offense at being watched and kills them, we lose nothing.”
“The fee for hiring them won’t be cheap.”
“Money can always be earned. What matters is what we do after his objective becomes clear.”
“What do you intend to do?”
“Of course, we will kill him. We lost three valuable combat assets. He must pay for that.”
“And how will you dispose of him?”
“First, we’ll place a bounty on his head and incite other clans and the underworld to go after him.”

“If they manage to kill him, all the better. But even if he survives, he will be significantly worn down.

After the secretary left the room, Chairman Li Wei slowly stood and walked toward the window.
Reflected in that window was a loathsome smile.

For some reason, I imagine this Chairman looking like Ran Fa Li, that bald fatso Triad boss in Chinatown 🤣!
But, damn! This small fry really looking forward to getting his pecker chopped and shoved down his throat!
Also, I have decided to decensor China since the Volume's name is that and at this point we can't pretend to ignore this with how many times it has come up at this point.
However, please keep in mind that this is a WORK OF FICTION and I do not condone villainizing a nation, it's people or its government, regardless of the real life implications and current worldview.
Once again, please do not hate China or its people. Like any other country, there are good and bad elements and China itself has very many beautiful places to visit and kind people who will welcome foreigners wholeheartedly.
I won't reveal what my nationality is but I am not Chinese. Although, my country borders China. And any racist comments will be deleted!
