Konbini Ossan Volume 8 Chapter 11 — The Twin S-Rank Adventurers
Leading the large crowd of the Demon King’s army as they shuffle along in droves, we arrive at the second gate.
I open the door via magical energy authentication, and as we enter the room, two adventurers are waiting inside.
“The next opponents are two S-rank adventurers contracted with our Otogi Trading.”
As I introduce them, the two step closer.
They line up on either side of me and begin their self-introductions.
“I’m an S-rank adventurer. ‘Ice Princess’ Tiana. And also, Yūichi-papa’s adopted daughter.”
“And I’m an S-rank adventurer. ‘Wind Emperor’ Tio. And also, Yūichi-papa’s adopted son.”
Once they finish introducing themselves, they hook their arms around mine from both sides.
Now that I am officially married to Maria as well, it is true that the two of them are my adopted children.
Still, the way they cling to me is oddly seductive, and it makes me blush despite myself.

“Tio-kun. Tiana-san. Now is not the time for fooling around.”

Seemingly satisfied, both of them quietly let go.
Both have grown up beautifully, and having them link arms with me like that makes me inexplicably nervous. It’s a real problem.
As for Tio, despite being male, his originally androgynous appearance has only grown more pronounced, to the point where he looks more like a woman than ever.
“Now then. Who will be taking on the second gate?”
“I will.”
Saying that and stepping forward boldly is Satira. Having suffered a bit of embarrassment during the clearing of the first gate, she is probably trying to wipe that away.

Using magical particles with high magical pressure, it materializes a blade of magic.
It boasts not only excellent cutting power as a blade, but can also cut through magic or deflect it away.
Furthermore, in their case, the weapons have been tuned to match each of their individual stats.

Tiana’s saber is aligned with her ice attribute, while Tio’s is aligned with wind, each weapon being imbued with magical power matching its respective attribute.
Additionally, Tiana’s is a rapier-type blade that prioritizes lightness and ease of handling over raw output, while Tio’s is a bastard sword type with a thick blade that prioritizes power.
Seeing the weapons wielded by the two of them, everyone in the Demon King’s army, including Satira, widens their eyes in surprise.
“My, what an unusual weapon that is.”
“A weapon made possible only by the technological prowess of Otogi Trading.”
Since Vladgaria mutters in admiration, I take the opportunity to advertise Otogi Trading’s technical capabilities.
Before long, Tiana, Tio, and Satira all finish their preparations.
The tension in the air is so tight it feels as though the battle could begin at any moment.
“Then, please begin the second gate.”
With that declaration, the battle of the second gate finally begins.
