Soul Devourer Chapter 3 Episode 8 — Verification of Mutational Enhancement

After opening the massive door to the boss room and stepping inside, I found myself facing five Yetis, five Snow Maidens, and the dungeon boss.

The dungeon boss looked exactly like a Yeti, but unlike previous bosses, it hadn’t grown larger. Instead, its height had shrunk to around three meters.

At a glance, it might seem less threatening — but that would be a mistake. Its ability values and skill levels were higher than a normal Yeti’s, and it had far greater mobility.

Without question, the boss before me; the Almighty Snowman, was far stronger. On top of that, it was a hybrid of a Yeti and a Snow Maiden, capable of using【Ice Magic】as well.

Alright then, let’s begin the fight!

I tightened my grip on《Balmung》, erased my presence with【Stealth】, and dashed forward in one burst.

First, to shut down magical attacks, I’d take out the Snow Maidens.

I slipped beneath one of them with ease, sliced off both legs below the knees to break its balance, and as it collapsed while spraying blood from its severed limbs, I brought《Balmung》down on its neck.

Moving fluidly across the battlefield, I cut down the second and third Snow Maidens, and at that moment,【Stealth】ran out.

“«Fire Rain»”

“«Fire Swords»”

I rained down a shower of fireballs on the fourth, and launched a volley of flame-forged swords at the fifth.

With【Fire Magic Enhancement】boosting my Intelligence by 1.9 times, the Snow Maidens took massive damage and writhed in agony.

Even with【Fire Magic Resistance】reducing the damage, the sheer gap in ability values meant there was no need to use【Azure Inferno】.

I finished off the fourth and fifth Snow Maidens as they writhed helplessly, then turned my attention to the five Yetis.

At that moment, the Almighty Snowman began to move.

As it charged toward me, it generated a massive number of icicles and rained them down from above. Their power far exceeded that of the Snow Maidens’ attacks.

I picked out only the icicles that would actually strike me and cut them down with《Balmung》.

Through the swirling snow, the Almighty Snowman burst forward, thrusting a fist straight at me.

I caught the punch effortlessly with my left hand, then smashed the side of its head with the flat of《Balmung》, sending the Almighty Snowman flying.

With the nuisance blasted away, I set my sights on the Yetis. Closing the distance myself would be tedious, so I activated【Taunt】and drew all five of them toward me.

Dodging the devastating punches unleashed from their massive arms, I erased my presence again with【Stealth】.

With all five already within《Balmung》’s range, I followed the same pattern as before, severing their legs below the knees, then swinging《Balmung》at their necks to finish them off.

With all of the subordinates eliminated, I extracted the magic stones from the Yeti corpses.

The Almighty Snowman attacked me several times along the way, but I simply punched or kicked it away as needed, allowing me to retrieve the magic stones from the Snow Maidens as well.

Finally, to confirm whether the same mutational enhancement that turned the Queen Ant into an Empress Ant would occur here, I tossed ten magic stones in front of the Almighty Snowman.

What would happen?

I watched its movements closely, excitement building as I waited to see the result.
