Konbini Ossan Volume 7 Chapter 25 — New Forces
With everyone duly informed and having received their consent, I formally registered my marriage with all four of them, becoming husband and wife.
Maria-san, Shirley, and Marceline, as well as Joan-kun.
There were some unexpected procedures involved, such as changing Joan-kun’s family registry to female, but in the end, I was able to successfully register my marriage with all of them.
After that, we began planning a large-scale wedding reception and took steps toward purchasing a residence where we could live our married lives.
There were no financial issues, so I made sure to fulfill the wishes of my five wives as much as possible.
A truly ideal mansion, filled with every dream one could imagine.
The order was placed without issue, and its completion is scheduled for next year.
It was decided that the reception would be held in the spacious garden once the mansion was completed.
The majority opinion was that it would become a more memorable occasion than holding it at the grand cathedral in the royal capital.
Marceline had initially wished for a wedding ceremony at the cathedral, but as discussions progressed, she seemed to come to understand that a reception in the mansion’s garden would also be wonderful, and she appeared to accept the idea.
One day, while all these arrangements regarding married life with the five of them were moving forward, I finally received word from Matsuriya.
It seems that all of the Kanehama-group, along with several other classmates who wished to work under me, had been assembled.
They would be bringing everyone along to meet and discuss matters, and that day was today.
In a room being used as a conference room in a building rented as a stand-in for Otsugi Trading’s headquarters, I waited together with Arisa, Maria-san, and Shirley for Matsuriya and the others to arrive.
“It’s been a while, Otsugi-san! Everyone was scattered all over the place, so it took some time, but I managed to gather them all.”
As he spoke, Matsuriya entered the conference room first. Following behind him, a group of boys and girls, along with two adults, filed in one after another.
“No, no. I was the one who said I’d leave everything to you, so there’s no problem at all.”
“I’m glad to hear that.”
With a relieved smile, Matsuriya took a seat. The others followed suit, each choosing a seat they liked within the conference room.
All members of the Kanehama-group were now present.
“Now then, I believe you already know the general purpose of this meeting, but I’ll explain it once more.”
Saying that, I began speaking to everyone present.
“I have established a company called Otsugi Trading, and it has grown into a major enterprise with branches spread throughout the Runegard Kingdom.

Considering our assets and domestic influence, I believe we have reached a level that rivals, if not surpasses, even the most powerful nobles.”
It may have sounded a bit boastful to start that way, but if I didn’t share the necessary background information first, I would end up having to explain it repeatedly.
Better to say it all upfront.
“Otsugi Industries, Otsugi Mercantile, and Otsugi Transport. Centered on these three subsidiaries, each line of business is growing steadily.

This is due to our ability to transport goods in large quantities and at high speed using the Magitek Carriage, as well as our exclusive hold on this technology. Because of that, we expect continued growth in the future.”
Some of the children looked surprised, likely because they hadn’t imagined things had progressed that far.
“Additionally, we have entered into a large-scale contract with Waynesvale, so we plan to expand into food-related and agricultural businesses as well.

We have already begun some degree of food production and sales, but we intend to separate these from Otsugi Mercantile’s jurisdiction and establish them as independent subsidiaries.”
For example, we have already begun exporting tofu as a specialty product of Waynesvale. It has become popular in the royal capital and other regions, generating considerable sales.
Demand for food-related products is indeed high. That is why I want to focus more on that sector moving forward.
“However, there is one particularly difficult problem. An unavoidable issue that arises as we expand our operations. A shortage of personnel for managerial positions and above.”
Yes, that point is our greatest concern.
