Compared to what I’d been earning recently, it might not seem like much, but to someone whose sense of money hadn’t completely collapsed yet, it was still more than enough.

I hadn’t really used any stamina clearing that dungeon, so without taking a break, I headed toward the next one.

It was another B-rank dungeon. Unlike the flower field from earlier, this one was a dense jungle filled with towering trees packed tightly together.

Since no other Hunters were nearby, I couldn’t tell what kind of monsters lived here. I pushed through the trees, making my way forward.

Then I felt something at my feet. When I looked down, roots were snaking out from the ground and coiling around my legs.

I nearly got yanked off balance, so I cut the roots off with《Balmung》. They stopped moving afterward, but since that was obviously the work of a monster, I activated【Presence Detection】and【Mana Detection】.

There was no movement, so【Presence Detection】caught nothing, but【Mana Detection】picked up a trace.

Just to be sure, I used【Discernment】to see if I could reveal its status. The result showed that the monster was disguising itself as a tree right in front of me.

It even had a few skills I didn’t possess yet, but this was a B-rank dungeon. Caution was enough. I approached—

Suddenly the ground felt cold. My legs were frozen solid, and I couldn’t move.

Still, with【Ice Magic Resistance】and high strength, I could break out easily by force. I started to push against the ice when I sensed mana overhead.

The moment I tilted my head up, a blinding flash exploded with a deafening roar. Shockwaves tore through my body, freezing my muscles for a split second, nearly knocking me down.

I gritted my teeth, steadied my stance, and caught a branch rushing in from the side.

When I looked back at the monster, a grotesque smiling face had surfaced on the thick trunk.

This one disguised itself among real trees, then ambushed Hunters who wandered too close — a monster known as a Treant.

On top of that, it possessed both【Presence Concealment】and【Mana Concealment】.

Without higher-level sensory skills, this place would be brutal.

If this were back when I was running around C and B-rank dungeons, I might have struggled. But now I had so many high-level sensory skills that the outcome was the same regardless.

I pushed through volley after volley of ice bullets and strikes from branches and roots, cutting them aside with《Balmung》as I rushed in.

Then I sliced the trunk clean in half, grotesque smile included.
