The monster he now faced had a body as large as an orc, but unlike the bulky orc, its frame was muscular and tightly built.

The monster — the Ogre — swung its massive fist. He leapt backward to evade, then closed the distance again, slicing through its punch.

The moment it staggered back, he struck at its neck and severed its head.

Not only were they strong against physical attacks, but they also had resistance to magic, which placed them among the upper tier of D-rank monsters.

However, having already taken down a High Orc alone, they weren’t much of a threat.

All of the Ogre’s skills were at level 2. To raise the five newly acquired skills to level 3, it would only take the defeat of three more.

After swiftly cutting down three more Ogres, he proceeded toward the boss room.

From the shining orb of light, a monster emerged — a High Ogre, a superior species of Ogre.

“GWOOOOH!”

Dodging the punches and kicks it hurled at him, he occasionally slipped inside its guard and slashed at it with his longsword over and over.

“Gr… Gwooh…”

Accumulating damage, the High Ogre finally fell to its knees. He delivered the finishing blow.

“These are the High Ogre’s Gauntlets and High Ogre’s Greaves. While the drop rate from a treasure chest isn’t very high, they’re not considered especially rare equipment.”

“Both have the same effects. First, they increase damage dealt by gauntlets and greaves by 20%. Second, they add +20 to Strength.”

He received his reward, minus the appraisal fee, and returned home. After taking a bath and having dinner, he sat on his bed and opened his status window.
