The boss was a higher species of slime — the Big Slime.

Its body was one size larger than a normal slime, and its only means of attack was the same — firing acid bullets.

Since it never moved from its spot and acted like a stationary cannon, I managed to dodge the acid shots and defeat it without much risk.

Opening the treasure chest, I recovered the Big Slime’s core and a small vial filled with blue liquid, then exited the dungeon.

The next day.

I visited a D-rank dungeon.

The reason I decided to challenge it was because there were no other E-rank dungeons nearby, and yesterday’s dungeon conquest had given me confidence.

Upon entering the dungeon, a wasteland spread before my eyes. The monsters that appeared here were orcs — nearly two meters tall, pig-headed, and obese.

Unlike the E-rank dungeon, which was bustling with rookie hunters and many solo adventurers, in the D-rank dungeon, most acted in parties.

If I truly felt in danger, I would consider forming a party, but with my current stats, orcs should not be a problem.

Perhaps standing out as a solo drew attention, as I received suspicious stares from other hunters. Feeling awkward, I quickly left the area.

I cautiously approached while suppressing my presence, but when I got within two meters, it noticed me and swung down its hand axe.

I leapt backward just in time, and the orc, its flabby belly shaking, closed the distance.

As its axe swept sideways, I jumped to avoid it, then swung my longsword in a matching arc, slicing off the orc’s head.

Orc meat was quite delicious, and the testicles were a highly effective aphrodisiac.


“But with this much meat, after taking down two or three, I’ll need to sell them before continuing.”

I still had plenty of time, so I entered the dungeon again. Before heading out to hunt, I displayed my status window.

Reaching level 4 had earned me skill points. I spent 2 skill points to raise 【Concealment】, which should be prioritized above all else.

As I was dismantling an orc I had just defeated, a voice called out from behind me.


“Hey, got a minute?”


I turned around to see three young men and women in their twenties. I stopped dismantling, brushed the dirt from my knees, and stood up.


“…And you are?”


“I’m Satou Akito.”


“I’m Itou Aika.”


“I’m Katou Ibuki.”


“I’m Matsubara Yuito. So, what do you need?”


“We thought it was unusual for someone to fight orcs solo. After watching you fight several times, we wanted to invite you to join our party.”


An invitation to a party, huh. I was honestly happy that they recognized my ability. But for now, I was managing well enough solo.

Besides, joining a party would mean splitting the rewards evenly, which would reduce my daily earnings.

There’s really no merit in joining a party.
