Konbini Ossan Volume 1 Chapter 7 – An Ordinary Cheat Among Cheats
“Now then, we shall proceed to grant the special category of Unique skills. These are abilities that even the Hero-class skills cannot perform — unique and exceptional powers.”
The goddess continued explaining the next category of skills to be distributed.
“However, all Hero-class skills come with resistance or countermeasures against unique skills.
…
So please, do not let your powers go to your head and try to overthrow the "Heroes". They are your classmates, after all.”
Some students clearly looked uneasy at that warning.
The desire to be the strongest is understandable. But those Heroes are still your peers.
Doing something dangerous or underhanded would be wrong.
It’s good that the goddess warned them. Thanks to her, both the Heroes and the students with troubled expressions may avoid misfortune.
“First, the «Magic Nullification» skill. It nullifies all forms of magic. Yuki Nishina-san.”
“Ah, that’s me!”
The girl who raised her hand was the one seen with Saori Mimori at lunch — the same one who called me creepy.
I don’t take offense, but if she behaves that way in another world, it may bring her trouble. I’d like to help her somehow, but that’s likely impossible.
After all, she thinks I’m creepy.
(E/N: There's no need to help her >:<)
While I mused over that, Nishina-san vanished, having been transferred to the other world. I silently wished her luck.
“Next is the «Absolute Appraisal» skill. It allows the user to identify and accurately analyze anything. This goes to Shouzou Mayama-san.”
“Alright! It’s here! This is the classic cheat skill!”
The boy didn’t raise his hand—instead, he pumped his fist in a victory pose.
It was the same student who kept yelling weird things and getting glared at by everyone.
He seems quite fond of the idea of being transported to another world. Maybe he’s experienced it before?
Or perhaps one of his parents had gone to another world? Stranger things have happened.
Once Mayama-kun was transferred, the goddess continued quickly onto the next.
It seems she intended to move swiftly through the other unique skills, now that the Hero-class skills had been distributed.
“Next is the «Skill Mimicry» skill. It allows the user to instantly learn any skill they witness, excluding cheat skills. Kouichi Nomura-san.”
“That’s me!”
The one who raised his hand was one of the delinquent boys who surrounded me at lunch. He had light brown hair and a harsh glare.
If he gets too full of himself, he might run into someone dangerous in the other world.
Even in modern Japan, acting cocky might get the yakuza involved. He should be careful.
“Next is the «Instant Death Magic» skill. It allows you to kill any opponent with lower magical power instantly. Tatsuya Kanzaki-san.”
“That’s totally OP! I’m gonna wreck everyone!”
Another one of the lunchtime delinquents raised his hand. He had spiked black hair and piercings.
Should we really be giving a murder skill to a delinquent? He might turn it on his friends or acquaintances.
Still, if the goddess is giving it, she must have taken personality into account. Perhaps it’s safe among allies, at least.
(E/N: The Goddess is sus, no cap!)
“Next is the «Perfect Healing» skill. It can revive the dead and restore lost limbs—something even the Saint’s magic cannot do. Ayumi Suzuhara-san.”
“That’s me.”
The one who responded was one of the few adults. Wearing a lab coat, she was likely a school nurse. A fitting skill, I’d say.
“Next is the «Assassination Arts» skill. A collection of assassination-related techniques in one package. Tomoe Kinoshita-san.”
“M-Me?”
Surprised, one of the teachers—possibly a homeroom teacher—raised her hand. She was one of the adults giving directions to students earlier.
With her gentle demeanor, she doesn’t look the part at all. She has a soft, curvy figure and a round, lovable face. Honestly, she’s my type.
If I get a chance in the other world, maybe I’ll try talking to her.
Not that it would go anywhere—she’d probably just think I’m creepy.
“Next is the «Super Acceleration» skill. The user moves at such speed that everything else appears in slow motion—like time has stopped. Yairo Nanakamado-san.”
“Yes.”
A mysterious-looking girl raised her hand. Her long hair obscured her face.
Still—Nanakamado Yairo? That’s a striking name. Hard to forget, even without trying.
“Next is the «Debilitation» skill. Any opponent touched will gradually lose their abilities. This effect is irreversible, so please don’t use it on allies. Junya Katou-san.”
“Heck yeah, that’s me!”
This time it was the last of the delinquent boys who had surrounded me earlier.
A long-haired, blond boy with a somewhat androgynous face. He could probably be mistaken for a girl.
“Next is the «Mind Control & Domination» skill. Eye contact allows you to brainwash and command others. It doesn’t work on strong-willed or high-magic individuals or those with abnormal status resistance. Takashi Naitou-san.”
“I guess that’s me.”
The boy who raised his hand wasn’t in uniform. He had gray hair and a lip piercing.
Now that I think of it—Arisa mentioned someone named Takashi earlier. Maybe this is that same Takashi-kun.

After that, the goddess continued distributing more skills.
«Maze Creation», «Accelerated Growth», «Infinite Mana», «Summoning Magic», «Immortality», «Infinite Storage», «High-grade Alchemy», «Absolute Zero», «Scorching Hellfire», «Surefire Sniping», «Support Stacking», «Absolute Defense»…
Around that point, I started getting tired of listening.
I quietly waited my turn to receive my cheat skill.
Eventually, everyone else had been granted their abilities and transferred to the other world.
At last — it was my turn.

E/N:
Giving dangerous skills to delinquents usually doesn't end well… Either this Goddess is dumb or she's cooking something nasty BTS.
Anyway, I'm currently learning Japanese and the names you read above were sometimes quite tricky to translate with how they are read. Still, I don't hate the kanji… at least not yet 😂.
