Soul Devourer Chapter 4 Episode 64 — Two Choices At The End of The Purge
Accompanied by the brainwashed chairman and secretary, I stepped toward the exit to head for the storage vault of equipment and items, when my eyes met Jin’s.
He neither ran nor stood in my way. He simply watched me quietly. In his gaze, there was not fear, but resolve.
…Determined eyes.
He had likely understood the moment he laid eyes on me. The outcome his choices had brought about. And that this was now a fate he could no longer resist.
That was why he did not try to protect the chairman, nor did he attempt to block my path. He stood there, prepared to accept everything.
Now then… What should I do with Jin?
As a local support staff member, he had assisted me with everything from dungeon guidance to processing material sales.

Jin raised his head and drew in a breath.

Second. Become the new Chairman and run the Hunter Guild properly.

For an instant, he froze completely, but I could tell he shifted into thought immediately.
And Jin’s conclusion was-
“…Earlier, I put on a brave front. However, I will accept Hunter Matsubara’s mercy.”
He bowed deeply, very deeply.
“I wish to become Chairman and lead the Hunter Guild.”
“Understood. However, there will not be a second chance.”
After saying that, I continued as if remembering something.
“Ah, one more thing. Could you tell me the conditions required to be recognized as〘Hunting King • Regalia〙?”
Now that I had defeated Haoran, I should have the qualifications. If there is a higher peak, a Hunter should aim for it.
