Soul Devourer Chapter 4 Episode 34 — A Battlefield Where One Stone Kills Three Birds
After more than thirty minutes of trading blows, I finally brought down the first Infight Monkey. I felt a slight trace of fatigue, but what I gained far outweighed it.
The sensation of polishing not strength, but pure technique itself… that was the true thrill of training.
Catching my breath, I glanced around. Three Infight Monkeys had appeared atop the nearby trees.
It seemed this training session was far from over.
The three dropped soundlessly to the ground. In the next instant, two of them dashed forward at the same time. One closed the distance in a flash and drove a sharp punch toward me.
I parried it with the back of my left hand and slipped into its guard. Just as I stepped in to counter-!
The first monkey’s stance sank slightly.
From directly behind me, the second’s kick sliced through the air.
I twisted my upper body to evade and grabbed its ankle, pulling it toward me. As I moved to drive a backfist into it, the first monkey shrunk the distance and thrust a full-power right punch toward my jaw.
I sprang backward instinctively, creating space between us.
“…Reset, huh.”
The thought had barely crossed my mind when the third monkey leapt overhead from behind the other two and launched a “Ki-borne Fist” with【Ki Martial Arts】.
Instead of retreating, I dashed forward deliberately, slipping through the trajectory of the Ki Fist as I closed the distance in one motion.
This time, the two in front thrust their fists simultaneously, firing another pair of Ki Fists.
I crossed my arms and absorbed the impact. In that instant, through the gap between my arms, I saw them move again, fists thrusting forward once more.
I seized both fists, yanked them toward me, and drove simultaneous punches beneath their jaws. With a dull crack, both heads burst apart, and their bodies collapsed like severed puppets.
But it wasn’t over.
Using the falling corpses as stepping stones, the third Infight Monkey came at me with a sweeping kick.
I grabbed its ankle, pulled it in with its own momentum, seized its head in one hand, and slammed it into the ground.
A thunderous crash. A cloud of dust and scattering flesh. Another massive crater formed.
“…Alright, let’s take a brea-!”
I stopped mid-sentence and laughed.
On the trees above, three new silhouettes.
They descended lightly once more and began closing the distance.
“Alright! Bring as many as you want!”

I slapped my cheeks, resetting my focus, and dashed forward again.

After continuing to sweep aside every Infight Monkey that attacked, I finally discovered the entrance leading to the boss chamber.
