Soul Devourer Chapter 3 Episode 6 — A Party That Records It for the Memories
A certain party, that had been steadily clearing B-rank dungeons around Hokkaido and had grown capable of doing so consistently, had come to the A-rank dungeon that Yuito was currently conquering.
With their footing easily taken by the snow and the cold making their bodies hard to move as they wished, they had to defeat A-rank monsters stronger than themselves.
The frontline Yetis and the rear-guard Snow Maidens worked in tandem as they attacked.
Exposed to mortal danger, time and again, the party nevertheless managed to defeat them splendidly.
“Hah… hah… hah… we won.”
“…That one was seriously dangerous.”
“Aaah, I’m exhausted…”
“It took quite a while to bring them down because they had high resistance to both physical and magical attacks.”
“Yeah. But we won! Against monsters stronger than us!”
“Right! If we can keep defeating them steadily here, our level and rank will go up!”
“We can finally see A-rank now! Once we get promoted to A-rank, we can even challenge S-rank dungeons!”
“S-rank dungeons are still a bit premature. For now, let’s make our immediate goal getting promoted to A-rank.”

Each of them was staring at the battlefield with【Telescopic Vision】.
When the Yetis and Snow Maidens that had been rampaging moments ago stopped moving and the swirling snow settled, a single young man stood quietly on the battlefield.
“Huh? That guy is…”
“Am I seeing things? I’ve seriously seen him somewhere before…”
“What are you saying!? That’s the fifth S-rank hunter, Matsubara Yuito! I can’t believe we’d run into him here!”
“That overwhelming combat makes sense now. Our opponent was an S-rank hunter.”
(E/N: Opponent here refers to "someone they compare themselves to". Since, before recognising Yuito, they assumed a party was fighting the monsters, they referred to MC as their "opposition team".)
“H-Hey, what do we do? Should we try talking to him?”
“Are you stupid? We’re inside a dungeon, you know? This is a place where you have to be careful not just of monsters, but of other hunters too!”
“We’d just be bothering him here, and it could cause unnecessary trouble. If we’re going to speak to him, let’s do it outside.”
“B-but! If we miss this chance, we might never meet him again, right?”
“Then we’ll lie in wait at the entrance! I’m absolutely getting his autograph!”

Being an up-and-coming party just like Yuito, they kept recording until the battle ended, capturing the awe-inspiring sight of the S-rank hunter, they admired, overwhelmingly fighting multiple A-rank monsters at once… monsters that they themselves had struggled desperately against.
