With that brief exchange over, I moved first. Activating【Dash】to boost my Agility, I vanished from the spot using【Stealth】.

“Damn it! Shield-bearers, prioritize protecting the healers and debuffers!”

“Stay alert! If we’re attacked, gang up on him all at once!”

Forming a circular formation centered around the healers and debuffers protected by the shield-bearers, they all kept their eyes peeled.

They seemed to think that as long as injuries were healed immediately, the formation could be maintained… but since I intended to kill them in a single strike, that tactic would be meaningless.

I closed the distance straight on and, in an instant, severed the heads of the swordsman in front, the spearman to his right, and the fighter to his left, then revealed myself a short distance away.

“Now! Blast him with magic! Don’t let him get close!”

As the debuffer mage at the center of the formation chanted spell after spell, my vision was once again swallowed by darkness, and a faint numbness spread through my body.

Then my feet were frozen solid, I was trapped in a raging storm, and on top of that a rain of fireballs poured down, instantly turning it into a howling inferno.

Escaping that barrage hell with【Warp】, I emerged unscathed, prompting them to move immediately.

One mage tried to stop my movement with lightning, an archer fired arrows in quick succession at my forehead and heart, and during that opening the other melee fighters closed the distance.

Able to predict their movements through my detection skills, I first cut down the arrows with《Balmung》, then vanished again with【Stealth】.

I dashed through their halted ranks like a gale, beheading them as I passed.

Without pause, I unleashed two types of magic, engulfing them in a raging firestorm.

Their Intelligence wasn’t enough to damage me but, what would happen when my Intelligence was applied to them?

That much was obvious without even watching.

“It’s hot! IT’S HOT… ah…”

“It hurts… I can’t BrEaThE… p-please hel—”

Hoisting the unconscious assassin over my shoulder, I returned to the battlefield and began rummaging through their belongings, searching for any clues related to this riot.

Waa~ Sugoi! Ruthless af! Getting the work done and not stalling for a dozen episodes is why I like this WN, like a popcorn or snack!

Now, few things to note:

I have made a mistake with the description of the《Interdiction Choker》that Yuito got from one the dungeon bosses before.

Since we saw in the previous and this chapter, mental interference from【Debuff Magic】affected his sight. Although due to holy crap-like stats, he didn't get paralysis or confusion or poisoning!

I digress. The《Interdiction Choker》, actually, doesn't protect from mental interference resulting from skills, equipments or weapons equipped by the wearer. Nor does it protect from others' skills, equipments or weapons.

… Then what the hell does it do?! Well, I guess we'll find out later so don't go calling it worthless for now…

Second, as you guys have noticed, the spells for【Debuff Magic】have two wordings, which is different from when Yuito casts spells, which are all having only English words and written in Katakana (e.g. [フレーム • ピラー] or «Flame Pillar».

Unless Yuito uses it somewhere later or we encounter these spells again in further chapters, we won't be able to tell if the incantation is different for others or the debuff system is just like that.
