Konbini Ossan Volume 8 Chapter 2 — Self-Introductions
“Since thou hast given thy name, it is only proper that we return the courtesy, is it not?”
Saying this, the young girl known as the Demon King introduced herself in return.
“I am the sovereign of the Seven Provinces of the Demon King Realm, the reigning Demon King of this age; The peerless being under heaven and earth! I am Vladgaria von Eldrant!”
At the same time as her declaration, the Demon King, Vladgaria, released the magical power she had been concealing.
The sheer volume of mana was greater than that of anyone I had encountered before… truly befitting of a Demon King.
“Now then, you all as well. Give your names.”
Prompted by the Demon King, the angelic beauty stepped forward and introduced herself.
“I am Satira, aide and close attendant to the Demon King. I also serve as the representative of the Angel Tribe, and those standing behind me are the personal guard I gathered through that connection.”
As she spoke, the beautiful woman Satira also explained the dozen or so individuals standing behind her.
It was rather considerate of her to provide such detail, she seemed to be quite earnest by nature.
“I am one of the Four Heavenly Kings of the Demon King Army, and the strongest amongst them! My name is Leonis!”

The last to introduce himself with booming confidence was the beastman man, Leonis.
If he called himself the strongest among the Four Heavenly Kings, then he must be far more powerful than the Demon King Army’s Four Heavenly Kings I had defeated before.
Without that kind of difference in strength, he would not claim such a title so boldly.
“Thank you for your courteous introductions. Then, Vladgaria, may I ask the reason for your visit this time?”
“Hmph. I thought it need not be said, but since thou hast asked, I shall answer.”
Vladgaria nodded once, then began to explain in detail.
“The trigger was that the humans began equipping even their regular soldiers with unusually powerful armaments. I generally do not involve myself in battlefield affairs, but the damage to my army had grown excessive.

Upon investigating the cause, it became clear that a company known as Otsugi Trading was responsible.”
“Indeed. The many magic tools now equipped by this nation’s soldiers were developed by us.”
I acknowledged Vladgaria’s statement.
“Thus, I thought, if I were to crush this company called Otsugi Trading, then my Demon King Army would have nothing left to fear.”
“I see. Then the purpose of this visit is?”
“Mm. The annihilation of Otsugi Trading; that is my objective.”
As expected, the activities of Otsugi Trading were something the Demon King Army could not overlook.
Up until now, there had been numerous acts of sabotage by organizations believed to be affiliated with the Demon King Army, but every one of them had failed.
That was precisely why the Demon King herself had chosen to appear this time.
“I understand the situation. In that case, Vladgaria, I have one proposal to make.”
“Oh? A proposal, thou sayest? Very well. Speak.”
Vladgaria appeared supremely confident, granting me permission to speak with ease.
My standing here alone likely played a part in that. She probably thought that dealing with a single middle-aged man would pose no problem at all.
“For this battle, would you consider establishing a set of rules?”
“Rules, thou sayest?”
“Yes. To put it simply, let us play a game.”
“Mm. Thou speakest of interesting things. Continue.”
Vladgaria’s reaction seemed favorable. In that case, I should go ahead and lay out all of our demands.
